Inaugurating the centre within the framework of banking and financial provisions of Libya, Ghdhara stated that the creation of the centre was part of his institution's plans to promote banking and support development plans to put Libya among the sub-region's leading countries in this field. He also stressed that the centre would provide Libyan banks with data on credits with a view to supporting them as they make healthy decision regarding the granting of credits and loans. The Governor of CBL also said that the institution would serve as a fundamental mainstay in the sector's modernisation programme which Libya was currently experiencing. The Libyan information centre on credits transactions will provide services to specialised banks and companies, through access to data related to creditors and debtors, with a view to increasing information available to Libyan banks and helping them to make appropriate decisions.
